I. SAUNDERS...
I really loved this book. It has the wry insight of a Douglas Coupland novel and just enough steamy scenes to keep you warm in bed at night. The two main characters write each other back and forth for a year, seemingly oblivious to the fact that the more they regale each other with tales of their own dating misadventures, the more they are in fact falling madly in love. I won't give it away, but the ending is...well...perfect.

Amy and Mark have written a book that is both smart and funny, wry and poignant. A must read for any one trying to understand not only contemporary dating, but the current state of relationships between men and women. Buy this book!

These two jump off the cliff of the kitschy dating book genre with no parachutes and land steady on their feet. This book is not just hilarious, it's smart and it's honest. HE TYPED, SHE TYPED sits proudly on my shelf, spine out. (THE POWER OF NOW is mysteriously shelved spine-in...)

A friend recommended this book to me, and I was initially skeptical of the format. After reading 3 pages I fell in love with it! It's hilarious and so real you feel like you must know Amy and Mark. It's an incredibly smart book--but easy to read too (I finished it the same day I picked it up).

Reading this book made me want to rent the authors by the hour: Mark, to tell me how guys really think, and Amy, to make me laugh out loud when I'm wallowing. They really are the best friends a reader could ask for.

I loved this book because it's an absorbing, escapist pleasure that isn't dumbed down. I was so sad when it ended and am waiting impatiently for the sequel!

Hilarious, a book about the trials of 18 to 40 year olds. Hip examples of relationships, fears and hopes of our future generations. Easy and a quick read. More entertaining than a movie. If you liked Juno, you'll love this book!

I have a sick fascination with these dating books. All but this one have given me that gross, I-just-ate-too-many-gummy-worms-and-the horse-hooves-they-put-in-them-is-poisoning-my-insides feeling.
This one is smart. And hilarious. And true.
I am no longer ashamed to love these books. This one just made the genre legitimate. A real trail-blazer.
